Taff arrived in the U.S. in 1990 as an agricultural intern, gaining experience across multiple states. He became a full-time harvest crew manager in 1993 and, in 2006, established Hughes Harvesting with investor support. Now, due to economic challenges and labor shortages, the operation is scaling back.
