Time to consign for Steffes Group’s Oct. 10 truck auction
Steffes Group’s first Truck Auction was such a big success that the company has scheduled a second one for October 10. That means the company is now lining up consignments for the next event.

“When we first announced our truck auction for the summer, there were a few skeptics. It’s a major undertaking, and it had been quite a while since anybody had started a new one in the area,” said Meyer.
But the results were encouraging, to say the least. The summer auction attracted 140 live bidders and a large number of online buyers as well.
Meyer said the location of the new Mt. Pleasant facility has been a major plus in terms of visibility and logistics. “In many cases, a vehicle auction is conducted at a rented location, where there is a limited time to show the trucks and allow them to be moved afterward. Buyers really appreciated having a place where they didn’t have to haul them out right away. Bidder feedback told us that the extra time resulted in our having more bidders – both live and online. In addition, the location has great visibility from the four-lane,” he said.
Another plus is the central location, easily accessible for sellers and bidders from St. Louis, Chicago, Kansas City, Minneapolis and other areas. The facility is located at Highway 218 North and South Avenue of the Saints.
