With a variety of accommodations for live and online auctions, the new Steffes Group auction pavilion and grounds in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa addresses the variety of needs for efficiency and comfort for sale attendees. Built on 40 acres of land at the intersection of two major highways, this new facility offers increased equipment security, visibility, technology and convenience in addition to a venue for ag buyers and sellers to connect.
Security
Onsite, there are 17 of the total 40 acres that offers a fenced and gated area. This means your equipment stays secure both before and after the sale. It also allows a better regulated and efficient check-out process.
Visibility
With our very first AgIron event at the new Mt. Pleasant auction pavilion on December 7, we saw a great turnout despite some cold and windy weather. Over 1,300 attendees both in person and online bid on over 1,500 auction lots.
Technology
For both onsite and online auctions, our technology makes it simple for buyers and sellers to connect. With high-speed internet, our computers and auction systems connect quickly to ensure you keep up with in-person and online bidding—unlike the technical difficulties that can arise on remote auction locations. Also, our site offers live feeds from the outside auction into our indoor pavilion.
Convenience
The convenience of our new facility comes in a variety of forms:
● With the secured auction yard, ag sellers and creditors can drop off equipment when it’s convenient for you. We have plenty of space to store items for your upcoming auction or an AgIron used machinery consignment event.
● Because you can bring in equipment prior to the auction date, we can also take the time to offer you additional services. Maybe you don’t have the time or tools to clean up your equipment or make minor repairs like oil changes or putting in a new battery. No problem. Our team can take care of those needs onsite.
● Want to take a break from hot or cold weather and wind, sit down and still not miss anything from the auction? We’ve got you covered - literally. In our 12,000 square foot, heated and cooled auction pavilion, you can sit down, visit with other farmers while getting some food and use the large indoor monitors to view all the auction action...not to mention the convenience of indoor plumbing.
● Plus, with 40 acres of space, there is plenty of room for parking onsite for even our largest auction events.
At the new Steffes Group auction pavilion and grounds in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, it is easy to see the deep connection to area farmers and ag producers in addition to the local community. While plans are already underway for the March AgIron event, Tim Meyer the Vice President of Iowa Operations for Steffes Group, is open to the greater possibilities of this facility.
